A B O U T

I am Tuisku Salminen, a 27-year-old student of design and textile design from Helsinki. My strengths as a designer include creativity, openness, enthusiasm, good teamwork skills, and a natural customer service orientation. I am particularly interested in pattern and knit design. 

Drawing, painting, and hand knitting are also important to me. Refurbishing old furnitures and giving a new life to old textiles is close to my heart. In my design work, I aim to respect the environment and promote local production.

I am inspired daily by the world around me, especially beautiful things like flowers and plants, as well as other people. My style is timeless, delicate, subtle, and minimalist, but at times also colorful, contrasting, and abundant. It is important to me that the products I design bring joy and happiness to everyone’s life.
